About our Mozambique Orphans

The Dream

"People touched and helped through the relieve work done by Jaco and Maria, are opening doors to the Kingdom and accepting the missionaries with open arms." Hannes du Bruyn

Jaco and Maria were spreading the word of God among the communities in Mozambique, where hundreds of people gave there life's to God. Little did they know what God had planned for them!

God's Vision

In February 2007 cyclone Flavio struck the Mozambiquen mainland with wind speeds that peaked from 270 kph (170 mph) to between 60-80 kph (35-70 mph). Flavio is the second cyclone to hit Mozambique in two months. The first cyclone, Delfina, devastated Mozambique with floods.

Jaco and Maria's lifes changed instantly. They sat in their car for safety and prayed that their traditional Mozambiquen home and the market store to be spared.

After the cyclone most homes were flattened and all the houses sheeting have vanished. They thanked God that thier home had minimal damage and that the local market store stood, but the rest of the comunity was flattend.

Sadly the local community orphanage lost the little they had; sleeping mats, plates and more. They had to find a place for them to stay. But how do you find shelter in a place where there was nothing left after the first floods.

I prayed: "GOD what must I do with these orphans? "Where must they go?” and  I heard GOD say "Prepare for 350!" Before I could think of any excuses and reasons not to, I replied "Yes ABBA Father". Jaco Rudolph.

Currently they have 43 children in two communities. 20 kids currently stay in Pambara north of Vilanculo and 23 more living in the bushes near an area called Tamane. While trying to get food and a shelter to these orphans one of the church leaders took Jaco to a place called Makonzi and showed him another 76 kids staying in the bushes.

An estimated 5000 orphans in Mosambique live and stay without any support, guidance or education. No one to love, feed or send them to a school. They seldom get any medical treatment even with the threats of deceases after the flooding.

I do appeal to you as a reader to help Jaco and Maria to look after these orphans and to give them a home and school to teach them of God. We want to send them into the world as young adults ready to make a difference in governments, schools, churches and their communities.

Jaco and Maria not only need donations of any kind but also hands to help. What ever you feel in your heart to do please follow the links and make it happen.
